Wudinna is located ~180km W of Port Augusta and ~200km SE of Tunkillia, near the main highway and secondary roads / tracks which connect Wudinna to the Central Gawler Mill, Tunkillia and three export terminals. Barton completed the acquisition of the Wudinna project rights during July 2025.
Current Wudinna JORC Mineral Resources are estimated at 279koz Au (5.81Mt @ 1.5 g/t Au), hosted in four shallow deposits.* Mineralisation is historically under-explored and open to depth and strike extensions, and the project has multiple untested exploration targets in the immediate vicinity.
Preliminary metallurgical testwork indicates attractive characteristics for Wudinna mineralisation, including 97 – 99% total gold recoveries via a traditional gravity and CIL leach processing flowsheet.
Testwork also indicates the potential to efficiently produce a high-grade flotation concentrate from fresh mineralisation for trucking to Barton’s Central Gawler Mill (or planned future Tunkillia mill), with ~90% of gold recovered into ~6% of feed mass to produce a concentrate grading 20 – 25 g/t Au.
